Ever since the Starcraft 2 first beta phase ended, their have been complaints of drawbacks and withdrawals with the dire question of “WHEN WILL THE SECOND BETA PHASE START?!?”
Well, Blizzard finally gave us an answer. According to a post made by Blizzard employees specifically, Bashiok, who said:

“The character code is coming back in phase two in early July so you’ll have plenty of time to check it out.”

According to recent comments and rumors, we believe that the Starcraft 2 second beta phase will begin on June 30th or July 1st. An exact date has not yet been given but the estimate is around that time frame. Everyones excited to play the game because its just that fun. Although, Blizzard might be angering the community without knowing about it. Recently, a trilogy was announced which means that there will be 2 expansions for the later campaign of Zerg ( Heart of the Swarm) and Protoss (Legacy of the Void). The Terran campaign, Wings of Liberty, will be released on time on July 27th. The problem with this is that Blizard wants to get as much money off of Starcraft 2 as possible.

This is done simply by seperating the story titles and making 20 missions for each race, expansion prices have not yet been set, but estimates have said they are going to be around $20 per expansion, so that’s $100 for a game that should only have been $60. Blizzard wants to get the most experience out of each race as they said, but this wasn’t a problem in the orignal Starcraft or Brood War, we had plenty of missions and they lasted perfectly long enough for me. Of course when Blizzard says they want to make an epic story line for each race, you really know what they are saying.

What do you think about it? Do you think Blizzard should just put the trilogy into the Wings of Liberty?

    Everyone is simply being ignorant…

You really think they want to make that much money? If they did they wouldn’t charge 20$ for an expansion.

Look at it this way, with two expansions they have enough time to properly develop missions that are more in-depth than the first all while producing new units/tech and implementing new ideas and systems with proper balancing.

  4. Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

Blizzard already makes enough money from WOW, they don’t need more money. They are only making two more expansions because they make EPIC games and they want to keep that reputation.
