Xbox360 suddenly released something that nobody had expected, its called the Xbox360 slim and its going to hit stores as soon as next week! Basically its a slimmer Xbox 360 with 250 GB hard drive, build in Wifi, less quiet and able to run Kinetic. Microsoft has announced that this will replace the original console and are also taking the prices down of the Xbox 360 arcade and the Xbox Elite. Although this was quite a surprise, alot of people really liked the new design and applaud Microsofts effort because with this release, we are assured that most problems with the original Xbox 360 have been fixed. Xbox 360 games can still be played on here.
Lets talk about the Kinect. Microsoft unveiled the camera at a gala event in Los Angeles Sunday night, the Kinect is basically the new name for Project Natal. At the event, Microsoft showed off a Star Wars bit and its new sports game which its super creative name, Kinect Sports (ring a bell?) So Microsoft technically got the name from Wii Sports and alot of people were quite impressed with the games. However, I wasn’t one of those people, if you look at its games, (which I will upload here) they are an exact replica of the Wii games. Why was the Wii getting unsuccessful in the first place? Oh yeah, because of BAD GAMES! I predict the same will occur for the Kinect because none of the games were considered majority gameplay fun which means targetting games towards better gamers which is why the Wii failed.
Although, Microsoft did show Star Wars which gave me new hope for the Kinect. They also showed a microphone and webcam chat. Another really cool feature was the voice recognition and facial recognition which is something completely new which sparks new interest. Heres the video of the Xbox 360 Slim:

From what I can see, theXbox Kinect is more than just a family games console, after all you can do many things that you can’t do with the Wii. The graphics are better & Wii fanboy or not, you can’t denythe Hard Drive storage on the new Xbox is far superior to the Wii. There is no need for controllers which meansless battery and recharging cost. If you have a young family like me , you don’t have to worry about the kids misusing the controllers or dropping them in there juice. One of my fav additions is that Kinectdoes have voice recognition so if the childrenare playing up and reality wrestling rather than virtual wrestling you can just yell pause and Kinect will pause. Pity this doesn’t generally work with the kids, well not in my house anyway. There is no doubt your friends and family will have a lot of fun with this system and it is taking interactive gaming to a whole newlevel. I have to admit , Microsoft were falling behind a bit recently in the games console world and it’s about time they stepped up to the plate and with Xbox Kinect, they have done exactly that imho Whether it has bugs or little minor problems remains to be seen and as with all these things, the proof is in the ongoing sales rather than the initial sales onslaught of inquisitive techno-holics who buy any new gadget released.

You think they cared about stories in the 80’s and 90’s? aside from a few games most of them were just go save the dasmel in distress or stop the bad guy. but i agree with you this looks like shit.

kinect games made by microsoft are gay but other companies who made games for kinect were acctualy good like ubisoft with child of eden dont judge kinect based on these kids game i want to see what it can do with real games like gears 3 and fps also the voice command for movies and browsing was pretty cool when it showed the menu browsing it was more interresting. we want to see hardcore games with kniect not these family games this is xbox not wii when they showed forza it looked pretty cool
